MuTool is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our services:
- IP Address: Temporarily processed for the IP Checker tool. Cached for up to 5 minutes to reduce external API calls, then automatically discarded.
- Browser Information: Timezone and WebRTC data are collected client-side solely for the IP disguise score calculation and are not stored on our servers.
- Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve our services.
2. Image Upload & Processing
We do not store your uploaded images. When you use the Image Scrubber tool:
- Your image is uploaded to our server for processing only.
- Processed files are stored temporarily (maximum 10 minutes) to allow download, then permanently deleted.
- We do not analyze, copy, share, or retain any uploaded content.
- All file transfers are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
3. Data Encryption & Security
All data transmitted between your browser and MuTool is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). We employ the following security measures:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all connections.
- Automatic purging of temporary files.
- No database storage of user-uploaded content.
- Server-side rate limiting to prevent abuse.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- ip-api.com: For IP geolocation data (your IP is sent to their API).
- Spamhaus: For IP blacklist checking via DNS lookup.
- Google STUN Server: For WebRTC leak detection (client-side only).
Our recommendation pages contain affiliate links. Clicking these links may set cookies from third-party partners.
5. Cookies
MuTool does not use cookies for tracking. Third-party affiliate links may set their own cookies when visited.
